Date Released: 7 May 2014

TERMINALFOUR's web content management solution to play a pivotal role in the development of Selkirk College's domestic and international enrolment strategy. The contract is another milestone for TERMINALFOUR as it continues its assault on the North American web content management market.

TERMINALFOUR, Europe’s fastest growing web content management company, today announced it has successfully completed its first Canadian web content management system with Selkirk College in British Columbia.  The solution for Selkirk College plays a fundamental role in the development of the college’s national and international marketing and enrolment strategy. This win is a key milestone for TERMINALFOUR as it continues its assault on the vast North American web content management market.

Selkirk College is home to 3,000 students in six communities throughout South East British Columbia.  It offers an extremely diverse academic curriculum including contemporary  music, aviation and nursing programmes.  The college has grown strongly in recent years as a result of increasing domestic and international demand for its courses.

Selkirk made the decision to overhaul its web content management and after a competitive global tender, TERMINALFOUR was selected.

Selkirk College had outgrown its previous web content management system as it didn’t offer the flexibility, scalability and integration capabilities required to cope with evolving web applications and increasing user demand.  TERMINALFOUR’s platform was chosen because it scored very highly in terms of user interface, usability and functionality.

Darrell Hicks, IT projects department head, Selkirk College, said, “Our website is how we bring Selkirk to the world and the world to Selkirk.    We needed a web content management solution that could deliver a site that is competitive, engaging and interactive.  The functionality, usability and open source nature of TERMINALFOUR’s technology has given our site the power to attract the highest calibre of students from Canada and worldwide.”

Piero Tintori, CEO and founder of TERMINALFOUR, said, “Success in Canada is a strategic imperative for TERMINALFOUR if we are to reinforce our foothold in the North American web content management market.   Its reputation for innovation and performance excellence is world renowned, and other markets pay attention to the companies and technologies that Canada embraces.  The decision by Selkirk College to use our software for such a significant part of its global enrolment strategy, adds both gravitas and momentum to our campaign to crack this market.”
